Black Dragon Lineage is directly traced to Gary Ronemus. Mr. Ronemus is an 8th Degree Black Belt with more than 30 years in Kenpo, and was promoted directly from Purple Belt through 4th Degree Black by Senior Grand Master Ed Parker - the father of American Kenpo Karate. His main instructor was Mr. Joe Palanzo, President of the WKKA. He has also studied directly with SGM Ed Parker, Mr. Frank Trejo, Mr. Tom Kelly, and Mr. Richard "Huk" Palanas.
Mr. Ronemus had taught seminars and classes throughout the East Coast.
The owners of Black Dragon Kenpo Karate are proud of our lineage and still teach at Gary Ronemus's studio on a weekly basis.
How much do classes cost?
Classes at Black Dragon are offered at a rate of $100.00 per month for adults (Age 13 and up) and $60.00 per month for ages 12 and under. Black Dragon never requires students to sign a contract. See our site for more details and class times.
Black Dragon American Kenpo Karate has been created to instruct students interested in true self defense. American Kenpo Karate is a fairly new style of martial arts, having been developed by Mr. Ed Parker in the early 1950’s. American Kenpo Karate is a modern self defense art that works regardless of age or physical conditioning. Because we all have differing body types and abilities, students are encouraged to make the techniques 'their own'.
Black Dragon Is...
Black Dragon is owned and operated by three Black Belts of varying degrees - all trained by 8th Degree Black Belt Gary Ronemus to use our Kenpo in an honorable way, and only use the force necessary to end an altercation. The owners of Black Dragon continue to train for more advanced levels of Black and instruct at Mr. Ronemus's studio on nights when Black Dragon is not open.
Are the Black Dragon class times not working out with your schedule? Do you learn better in a one-on-one environment? Private lessons are available to fit your needs! Email Mr. Eric for details.
